The writing room is part of the apartment the Marquise of Sévigné used when she was staying with her daughter in Grignan. It conjures up the general atmosphere of rest, reading and writing of the end of the 17th century. This space is going to be refurbished so that it can be added to the visit, which will involve traditional crafts such as fabric weaving or the making of wooden panelling.
To make this project happen, the Fondation du Patrimoine together with the Drôme Department are starting a fundraising campaign through crowd-funding. It will start on 21st May 2016 and will be an opportunity for everyone to become a patron and thus contribute to the preservation of this precious heritage.
