In 2021, the fate of Baron de Sigognac, a penniless nobleman languishing in his ruined castle, is at stake.

One evening, a troupe of traveling actors knocks on the door of Baron de Sigognac.
This singular host, having nothing more to lose, sets out to continue the journey with them ...
With the enchantment of the theater, Sigognac soon becomes Captain Fracasse, a proud and grotesque superhero.

Among countless adventures, Fracasse consumes himself with love for the virtuous Isabelle and causes a duel with the infamous Duc de Vallombreuse...

A popular show, demanding and generous, whose frame evokes in filigree the grandiose destiny of the Château of Grignan, exhumed from the ruins by its benefactor Marie Fontaine.

WELCOMING PROCEDURES :

• 100% of the audience, no empty seats between spectators and obligatory wearing of the mask.
• Opening of the ticket office, access to the
terrasses at 7.30 pm and at the Bar du Bosquet on booking only (number of people limited).
• Access to the bleacher from 8.30 pm.
• Beginning of the show : 9 pm.

Staging

Jean-Christophe Hembert, a man of the theater since his beginnings, has collaborated with Jean Lambert-Wild, Bruno Boëglin, Laurent Pelly and Roger Planchon. He met Alexandre Astier in 2002 and became actor and artistic director of the famous Kaamelott TV series, film producer and director of his shows.

2021 marks its return to the theater with the adaptation of Théophile Gautier's novel Le Capitaine Fracasse, for the Fêtes nocturnes of the Château of Grignan.
