Join us for a weekend dedicated to architecture, in the presence of Christian Trézin, the château's first curator, with tours, meetings and 3D modelling.

    For the fifth and final weekend of the pentahtlon des arts, we invite you to (re)discover the château through the theme of architecture.


    Saturday morning - Grignan from yesterday to today

    10 a.m. | Outdoor guided tour “From Castellum to Apollidon's Palace

    The Château de Grignan, with its 1,000 years of history, conceals many hidden details. On this tour of the castle's architecture from the Middle Ages to the 17th century, you'll discover them and learn how it has evolved over time.

    11:15 a.m. | Walking tour

    In the presence of Mr. Trézin, the château's first curator, appointed in 1980 after its acquisition by the Drôme département in 1979, come and discover the history of the site, the research undertaken, the first major worksites and how the first visitor itinerary was conceived (choice of museography, acquisitions...).

    Saturday afternoon - Grignan in the future

    2:30 pm - 4 pm | 3D reconstruction

    Come and discover the “behind-the-scenes” side of 3D reconstruction, with a presentation of several examples (Versailles, Louvre, Vatican, Pompeii). Talk led by Mathilde Bejanin from Aristéas, a company specializing in 3D heritage modeling.

    3:30 pm | Grignan: what kind of château for tomorrow?

    Conference followed by a discussion on work in progress and projects in the Drôme département, with contributions from Arnaud Vincent-Genod, Director of the Drôme Châteaux, Damien Hanriot, Head of the Departmental Heritage Conservation Service and Cécile Sacilotto, Head of Projects in the Buildings Department.

    The introduction will be given by Mr Trézin, chief heritage curator and the site's first curator.

    Grignan prend la pose

    Entre la fin du 19e et le début du 20e siècle, à l'époque romantique, il était à la mode de venir se faire photographier dans les extérieurs du château, alors en ruines. De nombreuses photos, notamment de familles, ont été prises à cette époque. Ici par exemple, la famille Davin.
