In the courtyard of Suze-la-Rousse castle, come and watch a demonstration of fencing duels and discover fencing and wrestling from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. In the company of Gilles Martinez and the Académie AMHE, you'll be able to observe how specialists and historians manage to rediscover the gestures of the past. Combining demonstration and participation, this event is open to all.
May 01, 02 and 03 :
11:30 am: Nobility and chivalry in the 15th century
2:30 pm: Duel fencing in the 16th century
4:30 pm: A brief history of dueling from the 13th to the 16th centuries
And all day long, our speakers will be on hand to share their historical knowledge with you at our weapons and armor stands. Don't hesitate to come and meet them.
