Between joie de vivre and deep contemplation, the first concert opens with Handel's energetic Concerto Grosso and closes with Dvořák's joyous String Quintet with double bass, which repeatedly reprises Czech folk tunes.
At the heart of the programme, German soprano Sophie Sauter will plunge us into an atmosphere of great nostalgia with Schubert's Lieder “for Mignon”, leading us on to the second programme, which opens with Schubert's “The Maiden and Death”.
